Our best kept secret…
Our best kept-secret, however, resides at the back of the garden. Having been an integral part of the British Oak grounds since it’s construction in 1928, the bowls green is still in regular use, having been meticulously cared for by generations of British Oak Bowls team members. Their dedication to the maintenance of the green & the game resulted in the A-Team being crowned Division 2 Champions in 2024!

Whilst we’ve got the discerning sports fan covered with projectors & giant garden screens, our best-kept secret caters to those after a slower pace of game; Our Bowling Green. Run by our regulars and acting groundsmen, it’s an ode to times gone by and a timeless reminder of the hazy summer days. It’s worth noting that membership is strictly regulated so if you do want to play, just enquire at the bar or admire from afar!
